Our Story

In 1997, Ben Moorsom, CEO and Founder of Debut Group, realized that audience attention was a prized commodity to be fought for. In the world of corporate events and communications, he witnessed corporations ‘imposing’ their content on audiences, and with suboptimal results. This sparked a quest to correct this approach for the sake of audiences everywhere.

On his journey, Ben discovered that the key to impactful engagement ultimately resided in the field of behavioral science. Every experience seeks a behavioral outcome. By understanding the outcome and what cognitively resonates with audiences, we can design experiences that reach people in ways that matter most. 

With little to no research on behavioral science in the corporate communications space, Ben began leveraging insights from other sectors such as education and the military, integrating neuroscience research into the creation of impactful experiences. 

Today, Ben and the Debut Group team of experts have helped hundreds of companies engage their audiences with scientifically-backed communications and experiences that lead to real behavior change. The team consists of cognitive scientists, designers, creatives, communicators, marketers, producers, strategists, and business planners. But above all, we are problem-solvers.
